CSD Day 5 & Dark Chocolate PB

Can you tell what i’ve been craving lately?

All things chocolate,

the problem is that I am trying to avoid all “sweets” during the cleanse, sweet cravings are gone but chocolate… thats another story. I blame it on being a girl. So what is a girl to do when she cant kick a craving?

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter

Ingredients:

2 c dry roasted organic peanuts

1/2 T coconut oil

2 oz unsweetened bakers chocolate

5-10 drops NuNaturals Liquid Stevia (to taste)

1/2 tsp salt

Directions: Add peanuts to food processor and process until mixture is runny, stirring as needed. Chop dark chocolate into small pieces. In a small bowl melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil until smooth. Drizzle into food processor and process until combined. Add stevia and salt to taste.

Round up your luscious ingredients

process nuts stirring every few minutes

until your butter is smooth and creamy. Melt chocolate with coconut oil

add to the peanut butter and process until smooth.

Add in your stevia and salt to taste

drizzle over apples or eat straight out of the jar with the spoon, I won’t judge you.

Rich, chocolaty, smooth, creamy, AND sugar free, this peanut butter was everything I was looking for and more.  I can’t wait to try it on my overnight oats tomorrow, maybe even bake some gluten and sugar free vegan chocolate peanut butter cookies with it? The possibilities for this nut butter are endless.

Chocolate craving demolished… at least for now ;)

Oh and my vitacost shipment arrived today :)

I got quite a bit of stuff which i’m pretty excited to try out.

Questions:

Do you use maca? This is my first time buying it and im pretty excited to try it out… I’ve heard it goes great with chocolate ;)

What about digestive enzymes? Never have but I cant wait to try them.

Do you crave chocolate? haha yep!

Favorite recipe including chocolate? ohh how do I even choose. I would have to say: dark chocolate soft serve, dark chocolate truffle cookies, dark chocolate tortes, dark chocolate brownies, and my dark chocolate nourish bars just to name a few ;)

Alright, off to tackle the rest of my to do list have a wonderful Monday!

An apple dipped in Nutella was my after dinner snack tonight! It looks like we were kind of on the same page :) I’d love to try to make my own dark chocolate PB!

I have a constant chocolate craving! I’ve never made nut butter, but when I do, it’s going to be chocolate. Dark chocolate chip cookies or just dark chocolate straight up are my favs!

Chocolate and peanut butter? The best combination ever! I bet it tasted soooo delicious on the apple wedges. :)

That looks HEAVENLY!!! I’ve made myself stop buying pricey pb in the stores (even though I LOVE PB&Co’s Dark Chocolate Dreams) but I have everything to make this, so maybe I can make this and kick my chocolate pb craving! YUM!

Yes, we love those papaya enzymes, so great for our kids, too! Let me know what you think of Maca, I started it last week, but my husband did some research and suggested I wait till after my cycle started over next month. I guess it’s got some amazing properties, wonderful for energy & stamina, but works better if you start it on day one of your cycle . Let us know what you think!

I’ve never made chocolate pb, it looks really creamy. I have PB & Comp dark chocolate at home but this would be so much cheaper to just make! :D

Wow, this looks great! I love nut butters and use to make almond butter at home, and adding chocolate is a very nice idea! :)

24 rawkinmom March 15, 2011 at 10:25 pm
